Just Dickin’ Around sprung from the mind of Amy Eisenberg in early 2013. Her vision—to create a laidback space where women were comfortable letting their individual brands of comedy loose on stage—morphed into a bimonthly showcase at Hydrate and a monthly showcase at Parlour on Clark. Cast members Krista Atkinson, Marla Depew, and Tamale Sepp joined Amy in transforming Just Dickin’ Around into a sought-after showcase as well as an outlet for burgeoning female talent.

During her time there, JDA toured Los Angeles, appeared on local radio stations, performed with Center on Halsted, and partnered with other local comedy groups to provide comedic relief to the city of Chicago. In the Spring of 2015, Tamale was asked to produce Brass Chuckles Comedy as a weekly show at the Uptown Underground and stepped away from producing JDA.
